Soybean research, marketing and education activities are conducted by the Pennsylvania Soybean Promotion Board, which is funded by the soybean checkoff. Through the checkoff, farmers contribute one-half of one percent of the net market value of their beans for these activities on their behalf. Biodiesel used by Great Valley School District Great Valley School District has started using B20 biodiesel in its 70 school buses, providing cleaner emissions for better student health. Annual Soybean Yield Contest Lapp Farms of Chester County topped the Pennsylvania 2006 Yield Contest with a whopping 78.19 bushels per acre!
